In a recent interview with uDiscover Music, DEF LEPPARD guitarist Vivian Campbell was asked to name his biggest inspiration in life. He responded (see video below): "I'm very inspired by my children. I have two daughters. People say to me, 'Congratulations on your career and getting into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame' and all this stuff, and that's all well and good. My children are still my biggest achievement. That inspires me — to see them grow up. My younger daughter is just going to college in a couple of months. My older daughter has finished her second year of college. To see them go from these little things to these bratty things to these teenage things that don't wanna talk to you and then becoming young women and going out in the world, that makes me feel good." Asked if he thinks his daughters appreciate what their father does for a living, Vivian said: "They've been on tour since they were tiny kids. They kind of take it all for granted. They're not very impressed by it. But they were impressed when we were on the bill with other, younger acts that might be very successful at the moment." In a 2017 interview with the Belfast Telegraph, Vivian said that he and his wife were still living in Los Angeles "because of the kids. My eldest daughter just went to college in Boston, and when my youngest daughter goes, I'll almost certainly leave L.A.," he said. "I think I've done my time here," he explained. "It's not all bad, but it wouldn't have been my first choice." DEF LEPPARD's second Las Vegas residency will take place this summer. The band will take over Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino for 12 explosive nights between August 14 and September 7. The British rockers played their first Las Vegas residency five years ago at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel.
