Two members of DEICIDE have been arrested at the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge when they were found with drugs and weapons in a mobile home they were driving in, when coming back from Canada. Needles, marijuana, amphetamines, brass knuckles, and much more were found.

The report is as follows:

"Benjamin T. Boynton, 43, of Madras, Ore., was charged Tuesday afternoon (October 21) with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, felony marijuana possession, felony weapon possession and two misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a weapon by State Police Investigator Eldred T. Green and Troopers Jeffrey Bebak, Timothy Roof and Brian Tazderski, state police said.

Eric P. Hoffman, 35, of New Port Richey, Fla., was arrested on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of a hypodermic needle and three misdemeanor charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.

Boynton was accused of having 5 grams of amphetamines and more than a pound of marijuana, along with a loaded .22-caliber revolver, a set of brass knuckles and a collapsible police baton, Green said.

Hoffman is accused of having 5.7 grams of anabolic steroids, a hypodermic needles and three types of prescription depressants, Green said.

The arrests came after U.S. customs inspectors pulled the men over in their mobile home for a secondary inspection and found the contraband in various parts of the vehicle, Green said."

That account is questionable. This is from Earache:

"Deicide were forced to miss their October 21 show in Detroit, Michigan, due to a misunderstanding with officials at the Canadian border. According to frontman Glen Benton who was travelling separately from his three bandmates, Benton arrived at the Detroit venue in time for soundcheck, only to find drummer Steve Asheim and the Hoffman brothers nowhere in sight. It was soon revealed that the tardy parties were being detained by officials at the Canadian border and they would not make it to Detroit in time for the show. The men were held at the border over night and were finally released early the following morning, with no charges against them. Deicide would like to sincerely apologize to all the Detroit fans, and promise to make it up to them soon."

But, alas, that account is questionable as well. Who knows exactly what is going on.

Yeah that is a shame, rumors from the blabbernet,

1. Benjamin Boynton-That guy is the father of the brothers in the Oregon band called Desolation. They run a metal venue in their "big" garage, called THE METAL SHOP in Madras, OR.

2."For those of who ARE concerned, the story is very true, yet they failed to mention that the state trooper who caught them, was a big fan, and they ended up getting out within an hour to play the next show.
And I only know this because I work with Glen's Mother in law. believe me or not, it's your choice. I can't wait till they're around here, I get free backstage passes."

and it goes on from there. Are they still playing Phoenix? on NOV 3RD?
