Antithesis second show from series of events dedicated for doom culture, this time with the bands from all Baltic countries and guests from Finland.
Concept of Antithesis concert series is based on presentation and introducing to doom culture. In Latvia Antithesis II will be first event from such range dedicated especially for doom culture.
DEPRESSED MODE
Symphonic doom metal, Finland
Band was founded in year 2005, from that time it has grown from one man project to seven members band, including vocalist Natalie Koskinen (Shape of Despair). Band has released its debut album Ghosts of Devotion (2007) and in Riga they will present new songs from upcoming album.
Music of Depressed Mode in their debut album balances on border between melodic doom and monolith funeral doom, but new material has become even more symphonic al and dynamic. With no doubt, technically perfect, exquisite and deliberative sound, with perfectly balanced female and male vocals, dynamic and melodic passages of keyboards and gloomy, cold guitar waves, which all together is asking from one side to stay , from other to escape from feeling called AUTUMN.

FRAILTY
Doom / death metal, Latvia
Frailty is contradictious evaluated experimental doom metal band from Riga, which released its debut album Lost Lifeless Lights in this year. It has made a lot of live shows and undergone changes in lead-up. Band recently has finished work in studio for EP, which will be presented together with new songs. At first sound of the band was close to classic doom / death metal with experimental offsets, but now with new material it has progressed out of borders of genre, combining doom metal with various other styles in one union that can be described as scull crushing doom metal description given from Lithuanians.

DEGRADATONIA
Gothic doom metal, Lithuania
Degradatonia is a project with various members from Lithuanian metal bands. In this summer demo material was recorded which is available for listeners in bands MySpace homepage. Band doesnt want to limit itself in frame of style, but it definitely will be doom / gothic metal with ads from other styles, where apart from usual guitars cello will be the main role to play.

WRATH IS EVERGREEN
Experimental doom / black metal, Estonia
Wrath is evergreen was founded in year 2006 as one man - IngWar Project, who was inspired to create music from his disease and that time mental view.
Now in 2008 it is a whole band with debut album somewhere in close future. Wrath is Evergreen sounds like experimental doom metal with elements from black metal. Monotone, depressive and gloomy music.

Antithesis III harsher part will fallow in first part of next year with folk / funeral doom band Во Ско́рбях (Vo Skorbjah) from Russia, which due to complications in staff wont play in this time, together with other bands from foreign countries.
