Though Derdian is considered by many (who've actually heard of them) to be just another wannabe Rhapsody clone from Italy but I couldn't disagree more. Though there are clear similarities, they have added enough originality and exciting ideas to have released the best album of the genre so far this year (IMO). Over two years in the making, The New Era Pt. 2 is a much more solid & enjoyable album than their first (which is nearly impossible to find now). Unlike Rhapsody, this album contains no narration or boring interludes. In short, if you're in the mood for some good enjoyable, melodic, catchy as hell melodic epic power-speed - give this album a listen.
