From what I understand, well from Blabbermouth anyway, Zuess mixed Despised Icon's Day of Mourning album. Just wanted to see if anyone knew what amp, or amps, was used on the final mix. Sounds killur.

Released: September 22, 2009
Recorded: Projecson Recording Studio, Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, Canada
Genre: Deathcore
Length: 32:50
Label: Century Media
Producer: Yannick St-Amand

I don't think Zeuss had anything to do with it, did he? I thought Yannick did everything, including guitar tone this time (instead of having Andy reamp, like he did for The Ills of Modern Man cd).

Yannick: I just gotta say you both did an incredible job on DoM :headbang:

P.S. sorry for jacking the kicks from the end of Eulogy :saint:

yannik what cab did he use? or does it say in that thread and i am just being dumb haha, i can't stop blaring this cd

As far as questions, only other two are A) boost? + 5150 + what cab + what mic?, and B) round-about settings? :heh:

Amp settings
Lead Channel
Low-6
Mid-3
High-4.5
Pre-3
Res-7-8
Pres-8

Eric and Ben have GX700's that they run with OD and a bit of EQ as well.

That's what I used when I toured with them. Randall cabs live as well.

Solos on the CD were recorded at Eric's house through some processor.
Would like to know what mic was used on the album as well.

Here some info about the recording

-OH was oktava mc-012 through api preamp
-HH,RIDE,CHINA eartwork mic through api preamp
-Room mic was AEA 84 through AEA preamp(ribbon pre)
-Vox was telefunken mic(aka47) through vintech preamp+distressor
-bass was DI+sans amp through a-design preamp+purple mc-77 comp
-gtr was 5150

The entire album has been recorded in 30 days. Gang vox was recorded by chris donaldson

Thanks for the info, Yannick. This cd is exactly how a 5150 playing metal guitar should sound.

Just out of curiosity, which guitar was used for recording this?

Just thought of another question: What was used for the clean guitar parts, like on the song Sleepless? Was this still through the Mesa cab or a completely different setup?
