DEW-SCENTED Complete Work On 'Impact'
German thrashers DEW-SCENTED have set "Impact" as the title for their new album, due via Nuclear Blast Records in the G.A.S. countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) on August 25 and the rest of Europe on September 1. A North American release will follow on October 7.

The regular version of the album will feature the following track listing:

01. Acts Of Rage (4:03)
02. New Found Pain (3:05)
03. Destination Hell (2:55)
04. Soul Poison (4:02)
05. Cities Of The Dead (4:48)
06. Down My Neck (5:50)
07. One By One (3:36)
08. Agony Designed (3:49)
09. Slaughtervain (4:27)
10. Flesh Reborn (4:06)
11. 18 Hours (3:25)

A strictly limited digipak release of the album will feature as bonus tracks the brand new cut "Force-Fed [The Bleeding Scheme]" and a cover version of the TURBONEGRO song "Hobbit Motherfuckers".

Additionally, the group have recorded a cover version of METALLICA's "Metal Militia" and have re-recorded their own song "Skybound", which originally appeared on the 1999 album "Ill-Natured". Both of these songs will be used as bonus tracks at a later point.

Commented DEW-SCENTED vocalist Leif Jensen, "We can gladly announce that we managed to nail down all 15 tracks we wanted to do together with Andy Classen at Stage One</B> studio during the last weeks (May-June) and can I promise you that the album sounds mind-blowing! Andy has managed to take the level of intensity even one (a big one...) step further in comparison to [2002's] 'Inwards' and we can't thank him enough for the KILLER job he has done! Cheers, brother!

"The riffs are poisonous on this record and Uwe has certainly delivered his best drum performance ever on D-S albums! By the way: We have noticed that it has been quite an advantage having Hendrik as solid member of the band ever since the release of 'Inwards' because it adds yet another edge to our music to have 2 lead guitar players for the songs and he also took care of the bass-lines for the new album. Why? Well, Patrick is still helping us out for live-shows around the time being but unfortunately hasn't had much time to focus on the band lately..."

DEW-SCENTED's lineup for "Impact" is as follows:

Florian Müller - Lead Guitars
Hendrik Bache - Lead Guitars & Bass
Leif Jensen - Vocals
Uwe Werning - Drums

In other news, Nuclear Blast Records will be releasing a special 2-LP version of "Impact" featuring as an added bonus the complete version of "Inwards". In addition, the band are currently working on re-releasing their older albums "Innoscent" (1998) and "Ill-Natured" (1999) as a two-for-one double-CD. More information will be made available later.

Dew Scented is heavy. I too will be buying this cd most likely online since we don't offically get it till over a month later.

Yeah they are heavy allright! I think they are better than most "new trash" bands. I think they are WAY better than the Haunted or Terror 2000!

By the way... has anyone here tried to play their shit on guitar? Those fucking breaks and fucked up tempos will make you want to smash your guitar on your own face cuz you gotta be fucking tight to play this shit!
