As much as I'm looking forward to this one, I'm sure it'll be at least an 18+ month wait.

I think it's been over a year since Blizzard announced Starcraft 2, and it still has a "when it's ready" release date.

Agreed. I suspect we'll see it Nov/Dec next year.

Tonight on X-Play, they'll apparently be doing a big feature on the Diablo series, including a preview of Diablo 3. I plan on TiVoing it.

I've been replaying Diablo II/Expansion ever since news of this came out.

I have a seriously cramped mouse hand now...

I can't play DII anymore, because it doesn't have widescreen support for PCs, and the windowed version is only 1024x768... way too small to see on my monitor.

Hmmm... I have a wide screen monitor and XP, and I got it to work. After a bit of tweaking, that is.

In normal proportions, or stretched? I hate a stretched screen. And I hate the tiny windowed version. I'd rather just put in Titan Quest to scratch my Diablo itch until the new one comes out.

Hmmm... it looks normal to me, but I'm not certain. I will have to check, but after having played through D2 god (or would that be Tyrael? lol) only knows how many times, I do get bored with it fairly quickly now, so Titan Quest may be your best bet.

I read a long time ago that D3 will feature some levels in Heaven in addition to Hell. This could be cool... in Titan Quest Immortal Throne (the expansion), you get to play on the fields of Elysium.

I haven't gone to widescreen yet - I got this square 19" for an excellent price about three years ago and I've not felt the need to upgrade. I suppose I should just to get DVI.

I'm running through Nightmare now. I should probably look up the rune combinations...

I watch a lot of downloaded TV shows, so my 22" widescreen comes in very handy. Unfortunately, there are tons of older PC games I can't play on it without them being stretched. Also, it's very hard to find good wallpapers of semi-nude female celebrities that are actually MADE for widescreen. (They usually take a 4:3 one and chop the bottom off; being a "leg man", this is a huge bummer for me.). Most of the time, I have to simply take (steal) a hi-res photo and make my own.
