Now that looks like a comfty setup!!! Vistallites and Paistes were my very first kit, but they were blue, the toms were concert toms and it was a 13 pc kit. Way too many for me really, but I got such a great deal on it I had to take em all!!!! Beautiful kit you've got there!

So hey should I focus on the marching band snare stuff? I must admit that I am pretty weak in that area. But I dont know if its something that I should putt off for now and work more on independence. I really just want to get good enough to play in a band. I am not talking about dream theater here, just some schlock band so I can play with other musicians. I am just not good enough yet and dont want to put a lot of time and energy into a more abstract area of drumming which wont help me towards that goal. If I can play in a band then I will feel very rewarded for my hard work at learning to play the drums. At that point I can focus on more obscure stuff. So the question is...what should I focus on?
