DICE is looking for a talented Sound Designer to design and implement audio assets for high-profile, action-packed titles for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.​ The individual will work within the studio, on a project as part of the audio team and collaborate with designers and artists to push the bar for game audio.​ The candidate must be passionate about making great games, be a strong problem-solver and an effective communicator with broad sound creation and implementation skills.​

What skills does DICE look for?
• Proficient with modern studio hardware, recording techniques, and software such as Pro Tools, Sony Vegas, Sound Forge, and Basehead.
• Proficient with recording gear and techniques.
• Solid knowledge of PC and console audio hardware.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of game audio techniques and audio production fundamentals.
• Desire to develop audio production and engineering skills.
• Outstanding sound design skills and listening skills.
• 1 years experience in the game industry or equivalent
• Proven experience using Game Audio Middleware or equivalent.
• Strong communication skill
• Good understanding of the video game development process
• Strong artistic and creative sense

That probably kills it for most.
 
A good friend of mine has been interning there quite a bit lately, I hope he gets a shot at this.

That probably kills it for most.

More often then not these requirements are a wish list. If they don't find anyone with all of the listed skills they will hire the next best one. Even if they do find one he might be a jerk and they will again hire the next best one. If you want the job and you think you can do it then apply. It doesn't cost you anything.

That's how I got every single job offer ever (programming jobs). I never had every skill (or as much experience) they said they need.
 
If one of you guys gets the job and fucks up the sound of the next Battlefield game, I'll fucking kill you :lol:

Seriously though, that looks like a great job.. shame I have no experience with videogame audio stuff whatsoever
 
Speaking of Battlefield sound, Battlefield 3 needs some serious fucking work. I play with headphones and compared to other games it's very difficult to localize sound unless your far away from the action. Also, shit just randomly drops out, like the ambient sound or the sound of vehicles, it fucking sucks.
