Did I get a real SM57?

Recieved a used one, yesterday, that I bought through an ad.

If I did, then the MB 75 I have is really close to the SM57.
I must've gotten lucky.
Or it's fake and there's no surprise that they sound similiar.

google is your friend... tons articles about fake 57s outthere. if it sound like the MB, then it IS a fake!

Usually a good way to tell is if the ring saying Shure moves independently from the rest then it's probably real. Just eyeballing it, it looks pretty fake I'm afraid, but I could be mistaken.

The top spins freely, it's marked SHURE at the mic connector, and it doesn't sound bad.
I must say that my MB 75 doesn't sound bad either.
I don't have a multimeter nor a kitchenscale to weigh it. :/

I think I got reaaally lucky then..
I made this test yesterday after I just got home, so it's.. shit..
But there's no processing on it at all..
Just wanted to make sure it worked.

As the filename says, first it's the MB75 and then it's the SM57.
MB75 - 1, 2, 1, 2. Then SM57 - 1, 2, 1, 2. and the same for the next part.

I think the MB75 is a bit more "brittle", and the SM57 sounds more "full"..
But it's just a cunt hairs difference..
