i have this old and crappy notebook laying around here and want to use it as a realtime analyzer.
the program works on the notebook, but now it has to get the signal from my pc.
i could route the digital coax 24 bit output with the signal i hear from the analog outs to the notebook via an usb soundcard that is something like 50 at thomann (phonic digitrack).
but this soundcard only has 16 bits - and my digital output will be 24 bit!!
is it an issue or will the notebooks soundcard handle this kind of conversion and work with 16 bit??
