...so i wasn't sure about which thread this would belong in but...

...I just realised that the delays I have on my comp only go as far as 5500ms

what the hell!?!?!?

anyone know of a decent delay (free or not) that goes further??

cause i just sat there melting my head working out the best way to extend so the delays go on further and now i may have a headache coming on...

What are you using it on? I always have to remind myself especially with vocals, just manually doing the delays on another track is the way to go. But if you're going for more repeats (over 2 or 3) then finding a plug is the way to go.

Vocals as Force666 mentioned

Basically theres a song i'm mixing, and the vocalist suggested that into this break where theres one guitar starting a riff and the drums come down to the kick in like half time or something, he wanted his phrase to in effect echo on the kick

In total about 8 reps

over about 10 seconds

realised what to do, just ran the 4th repeat from one delay into the next delay to start it off...

That should equate to roughly 1200ms with a hefty amount of feedback (for the repeats.)

I'm not sure you're understanding the meaning of the control. The length determines the time between delays (in most cases) and the feedback determines the number of delays.

So as mentioned before, roughly 1200ms with the feedback control cranked would get you what you want

Aye its just over 1200 with it bein just over 10 seconds. Utilised the old noodle and worked out where each should be, then fine tuned it by ear...
