Dimmu Borgir - The Chosen Legacy

Yeah, but while its bumped: My friends saw Dimmu @ Sweden Rock Festival, and apperantly hellhammer playes alot of the studiomaterial even faster live.
And they said it was really tight too(One of them is a drummer).

Just noticed the start of the chosen legacy starts with a kick...hmmm might have to attempt to sample that! lol :)

way ahead of you dude:goggly:
posted that kick on here a while back in in the drum meta thread under
my kick collection.

also the kick from stormblast 2005 is in there and the kicks are completely different.

whats with the snare on this album and the new Arch Enemy album, both albums where done in the same studio yes ? fredman studio i think, is this some new shitty trend going on over there where there laying down shitty snares on there mixes. seriously at times I cant even hear the snare its so burried in the mix (both albums) and theres so much damn reverb on them and a sort of scooped mid feel to them no punch no balls just pants.

sorry for bitching but its the 1st thing i noticed when listening to those albums for the 1st time it was like wtf and to be honest the guitar tone isnt up to much. But yeah the drums sound terrible in both cases.

Hehehe... we were honored to video taped Jan A.K.A. HellHammer on the Dimmu 07' U.S. tour for BLASTOLOGY :OMG:
HellHammer plays extremely quick.... and with big ass New World 3 1/2" boots on and I believe Axis shortboards!! He's not very tall, but very built!
Here's some stills from the video for you all.

GORILLA

sounds a little bit faster then 280 perhaps between 280 and 290? but to me it does not sound programmed... listen to the new mayhem some of the kick parts are staggering.
