DJ Earworm owns me so hard.

This was pretty cool. I love Ke$ha but not a fan of her remixes in general, so I stick to her actual songs. But yeah this was definitely cool.

Also love this dude's Gaga dubstep remixes:

Dude came out with an EP this year that warped my brain. Some of the most insane dubstep ever created. Grab it.

I downloaded a bunch of his stuff on a whim the other day but haven't given it a shot yet. Just started getting into this stuff maybe 3 or 4 weeks back. Definitely gotta move this up the listening queue.

Nice. I enjoy his remixes/mashups. Was wondering if it had been posted yet.

Mashup-Germany also did his own 2010 mix. He threw in some German songs.

Although the song I am absolutely addicted to right now is DJs from Mars' Barbramyte

Ah, Skrillex! I like his remix of Shakira's "She Wolf" .. makes the song somewhat listenable :p Otherwise I also like this tune, once it gets going.

I like this topic. I didn't know so many of you liked DJs and pop, too. Who else do you all like?

And as for mashups, my favorite is a kpop combo:
SHINee - "Lucifer"
Super Junior - "Bonamana"

This guy's mashups are mindblowing! Not sure how it'll go over if you don't know the songs individually though. :Spin:

Outside of my love for EBM, I mostly just listen to mashup DJs. I also don't really care for Girl Talk. I got into one of his albums for a week but the rap lyrics + 80s/pop music every 10 seconds gets old.

No youtube video but check out the link and listen to Club Monster

They work together a lot so here's one of those:

Grabbing the bootie mashup releases are usually a great way to start. Between that and mashstix, I was able to get a large collection of songs which I've started dwindling down to the songs and DJs I like.

These two were great! Mashup artists are getting quite skilled. It wouldn't surprise me if it started to become it's own little sub-micro-genre (whatever you wanna call it). Maybe it already has!

I honestly haven't listened to much since college. I know I've mentioned that I love VNV Nation at least once or twice here. Which I guess has since been termed futurepop since I was big into them.

The popularity certainly has grown. The tv show Glee has had at least 6 mashups on their show. And they're doing another for their post-Superbowl show. That Rude Boy Resort song also got covered live by lostprophets.

Futurepop is such a great name that I had to investigate it. When I did, I heard all the stuff that I used to know as Darkwave, and maybe a few more electro-based tunes here and there. Glad I'm not the only one who didn't hear anything "new."

Ah, I'm sure Glee has helped the popularity. I've never watched that show but it sure seems to be everywhere lately.

I really don't know either song individually, but this mashup stands out on it's own as its own thing. Is it acceptable to enjoy a boyband if it's in another language? lol.
