Come on guys, the music is not bad but that voice....geeez could it be more boring? I mean there is no sentiment in it, everything is sung in higher octaves making most of the words unintelligible (which are ordinary anway), it's like there is a computer singing. Dunno how they managed to climb so high they are so very ordinary.


Oh yeah, take a listen to "Come Cover Me" by Nightwish (the main theme from that song) and then take a listen to "We Hold The Key" by Stratovarius (somewhere around the middle of the song). Is that plagiarism or what?

To me a voice has to have that emotional feel to it. Tarja sings like a voice robot.
For comparison, Anneke from The Gathering has something to her voice, something that keeps you lingering over the songs..... well enough said.

Funny ain't it...i was just opening this post when the radio started playing Nightwish....
Anyway i really enjoy listening to them, allthough i could say that sometimes i prefer to reach out my Therion CD's

The voice is definitely the best part. The music is about average; nothing particularly exciting but good enough to listen to. It's a hell of a lot more interesting than Stratovarius, though; they are extremely boring and repetitive (and yes, I've heard all their CDs).

But seriously..I don't care much for Nightwish.
The music is IMO very boring and I do not like the singer at all, she may be good but her voice does not fit with the music IMO.
