do you really like "still dat beneath the sun"

i'll like even more this song when i could understand what Mikael is saying in the middle part of the lyrics...is kind of "seeking...breething...kill..." i can't figure out...the booklet don't have the lyrics?

hmm, im trying to figure out exactly what those lyrics are, the part that mikael did not type out before. so far I can here:

heaving
greaving
seeking
healing
?
widely
sighing
here

anyone else have any ideas?

I simply love it. I actually broke down the first time I heard the "Leaving, grieving" (or whatever the hell he's saying part).

It's simply brilliant, as is everything else Opeth has done.

I sound like a blind follower, but Opeth has just never disappointed me.

Yes, I really do like it. No, it's nothing compared to Benighted in terms of 'Opethness', but it seems to have a more effective feel because it's a more 'standardized' song. It kind of has the chorus-verse thing and that has more of an instant impact on people than something that's progressive, like Benighted.

I hope it was only an experimental song though, because I want the focus back on the music, not just the voice. It's a great song and all, but just compare it to their other material in terms of song writing and it isn't really much.

I agree with the last guy.

No really. Love the song. The only way it might not seem like a "real" Opeth song is the other members didn't have anything to do with it at all. But Mike writes most everything anyway, so that doesn't count.

I love "Still Day BEneath the Sun"......Yea it may not sound like any other "real" opeth songs but it still is a great song. It has just as much emotion any other other Opeth song. You people that are complaing that it doesnt sound like "real" Opeth, its just one song. You'll get your "real" OPeth in October when the new heavy album comes out. Sure their gonna have a soft album out too but has Opeth ever let any of you down before. Personally I'm just happy to get a bonus disc with Blackwater Park, a heavy album, and a soft album within 8-9 months. cant get much better than that.
