JUST CURIOUS ,THERE SEEMS TO BE A SMALL LINK TO A FEW FANS OF ANTHRAX WHO ALSO LIKE THE KING.

I like him a bit. I dont get each new album or anything but hes cool. "Them" is my favorite. The latest thing I have by him it the spiders web? spider something, but I'm to lazy to go look....

King Diamond is great! I have a few of his CDs and some Mercyful Fate.

When I was driving Charlie (Benante) around near St. Louis last summer, he put my Melissa CD in the player. That's one of the top 10 best metal albums ever.

I've always had a theory that King Diamond and Neil Diamond are one and the same. After all, I've never seen them together.....
Kind of like Al Jouergenson and Rob Zombie. Never in the same place at the same time.

I Love King Diamond!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hail The King!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop being sarcastic, dutchy.
Here's my reviews of the KING/Mercyful Fate I own. 10 is the best score.

Last night, I listened to The Spider's Lullaby (8 out of 10) and "Them" (7.5 out of 10) as a tribute to this thread.
I have to say that I really don't like "Them" as much as hardcore King Diamond fans do.
Those are to only 2 King Diamond CDs I have.
I have these Mercyful Fate CDs:
Melissa (this cd is an 11 out of 10. If you don't like it, you're officially not metal)
Don't Break The Oath (7 out of 10)
Time (7 out of 10)
Into The Unknown (8 out of 10. I love The Ghost of Change. That song kicks your ass)
Dead Again (I'd have to say 7 out of 10, but I'll listen again and probably change my mind)
9 (8 out of 10)
King Diamond/Mercyful Fate- A Dangerous Meeting (8 out of 10)

That's all I have. What are you's guys' favorites besides "Them"?

Hey! What's up with giving Don't break the oath only a 7???
As far as metal lyrics go you just can't beat : "And I denyyyy Jesus Chriiiiiiiiiiiiiiist!" hehe
KD/MF are up there in the top 10 of the pantheon of metal.

Don't Break The Oath is good, not great.
You have to agree that Melissa is an 11 out of 10, though.

OK here I go.
Mercyful Fate:
Melissa 9/10-this is an instant classic
Don´t Break The Oath 9/10
In The Shadows 7/10
Time 8/10 - I love Snowy Shaw´s drumming on this one, best drummer of MF
Into The Unknown 10/10-the best MF release for me, kicked my ass, totally
Dead Again 6/10
9 9/10

KD:
Fatal Portrait 7/10, the bonus track The Lake is probably the best one off this album
Abigail 9/10, this is a classic
THEM 10/10 the best KD release hands down!
Conspiracy 9/10
The Eye 7/10, a minus point for the drum machine and they kinda fucked Shaw over
Spider´s Lullabye 6/10
The Graveyard 7/10
Voodoo 9/10, a return to thrash sound
House Of God 7/10, kinda melodic and sad
Abigail II-The Revenge 8/10
The Puppet Master 7/10
Deadly Lullabyes Live 9/10, though I think it´s a bit "doctored" live album.

Thanks Johnnie. I'l have to check out your favorites.

And DD- Yes, King Diamond is the Lord of Soprano. Way better than Mariah Carey.
