if you recall, they changed Mrs. Frisby's name to Mrs. Brisby, among many many other discrepancies between the wonderful young adult fiction work "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH" and the saccharine, hamfisted animated "The Secret of NIMH."
A shiny new dime to anyone who can identify this screencap from another amazing movie involving cute animated animals in a setting of violence and terror.

Uhm, yeah! Holy crap, that was fast. I love this movie! I can't believe it hasn't gotten a DVD release ... I dont really want to pay 150 dollars (!!!) for a VHS copy.
well, i dont have much of a say in this don bluth business. but since im a mothers helper in sweden right now (gol) im watching lots of shitty disney flicks. like last night i watched the horror that is anastasia - lets not even go there - and then dumbo, a movie i hadnt seen in years, but that i have to give props to for all its sadism and violence - quite a load of it for a kids movie. and that pink elephants sequence - wtg? and yeah, im watching them in swedish, which i dont speak. although i have learned how to say please, thank you, poop and pee.
edit: i have also learned to say (in english): "i'm pretty certain i don't want kids of my own some day"
edit #2: bfs childcare tip (best and guilt-free for non-english-speaking children) - distract crying babies or bored toddlers with.... www.rathergood.com 'toons. hell yeah, i knew that site would be my salvation.

apr. 10-11 - sthlm, then home
to be honest, I'm probably overbooked already for my time in sthlm. I might go see Hell on Wheels at Debaser the night I arrive, but that's not very metal at all.
