If yall ever played the original Doom series you'll like the Doomsday version

Its a 3d accelerated version of all dooms
and they have it for Heretic and Hexen
its capable of 16 and 32 bit color !!
and you can jump,and use the mouse to look just like in FPS games today
a nice load of mods and extras too
also at the web site you can download remixes of the Doom soundtracks which is bad ass

Yup, I've had jDoom installed for about six months now!

You forgot to mention all the enemies and objects are 3d Models now too.

hmm i have Jdoom and the models aren't in 3d, i downloaded the model pack though, hopefully thats the 3d pack i need, thanks for bringing that up xen

Awesome. I have a crappy 3d version of Doom, im gonna do this now.

Oh.... the fond memories of playing Doom back in the mid 90's when i was a kid.... i miss those countless fun days. Doom, Doom 2, Final Doom.... I was in heaven. I know everything about good old Doom. If you asked me what episode 2 level 4 was, i could easily tell you off the top of my head its Deimos Lab. or Doom 2 level 15? simple.... Industrial Area. How about Final Doom, TNT, level 13? Nukage Processing.

and thanks to the Internet theres endless cool wad's to download.... but im gonna play the good old originals for now. Hypocrisy86, i have to thank you for bringing this up and reminding me.

one of the patches:

"Fixes a problem with Final Doom's TNT: Evilution, map31. The original map is missing a yellow key. tnt31fix.zip includes a WAD file of the map with the required key."

no wonder I could never beat that Pyramid level....

Well, it was designed to use 3d models, and yes it's an optional download. Why one wouldn't use them is beyond me...

The only thing that bugs me is that you can't play in a window... appears you need to play full screen.

You can download heretic and hexen .wads at sites... theres multiple ones
but i forget the sites ..
try searching in Google for them, hopefully something will come up.

oh speaking of doom, i remember going to Best buy and getting Final Doom for my 10th birthday.. and also i remember going to Sams seeing Doom 2 on display lol cant believe i remember that.. oh did yall see the Doom 3 trailer yet? if not you better check it out!

i don't know what version im running, all i know is that this is kicking ass.... ive got Ultimate Doom (all 4 episodes), Doom 2, Plutonia, TNT, and Hexen running.... plus some cool .wads...

you can also download Eric Harris's infamous .wad.... the one he made not too long before the Columbine shootings....
