Doro Pesch says that her forthcoming album will contain "more anthems than usual," and will include a guest appearance by her former WARLOCK bandmate Tommy Bolan. The long-awaited follow-up to 2012's "Raise Your Fist" will arrive in August 2018 and will be the German singer's first release since last year's "Love's Gone To Hell" single. Speaking to Capital Chaos TV, Doro stated about her upcoming disc (hear audio below): "It's eighty percent done, with some great guests on it and many anthems — actually, more anthems than usual. And, yeah, some heavy and fast songs, some dark, romantic, heartbreaking ballads. There's a whole spectrum between the super-hard and some dark, very melodic stuff." Asked which special guests fans can expect to hear on her next album and if the record will include any cover versions, Doro said: "I don't know yet if there will be a cover song. There might be a cover song of somebody I love so much — it was actually my very first concert I attended in my life, a rock concert. So it's something which I might wanna do. And special guests, we have a couple of people in the making, but I don't wanna talk too much about it, because I'm too nervous. If it wouldn't work out, everybody would be so disappointed. But definitely one guest guitar player will be my old guitar player Tommy Bolan. We have a song in the making and he will definitely play some great solos on the new record. So that's carved in stone." Doro recently told the "SixX Strings" radio show that her forthcoming album would contain a special song featuring guest appearances by a number of prominent metal musicians, including Johan Hegg from AMON AMARTH, Mille Petrozza of KREATOR and SABATON's Joakim Brodén. She said: "It's a great anthem — I think it could even top [WARLOCK's classic track] 'All We Are' — and everybody's singing on it. And this could be really, really good. It's hooky like hell. And we have some other guests — great people. I can't tell you too much, because when it doesn't work out, then everybody would be so disappointed. But it's all in the making right now, and, yeah, I promise a killer album. Many great guitar players as well." Pesch is currently celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of WARLOCK's "Triumph And Agony" album by performing the LP in its entirety at select shows around the globe. Doro is joined on the "Triumph And Agony" thirtieth-anniversary tour by Bolan alongside bassist Nick Douglas, drummer Johnny Dee, guitarist Bas Maas and guitarist/keyboardist Luca Princiotta. "Raise Your Fist" boasted guest appearances by MOTÖRHEAD's Lemmy Kilmister and OZZY OSBOURNE/FIREWIND guitarist Gus G., and artwork by British artist and longtime Doro collaborator Geoffrey Gillespie. In addition to three versions of the title track, the six-track "Love's Gone To Hell" maxi single also contained two live tracks: "Rock Till Death", featuring Hansi Kürsch (BLIND GUARDIAN) and "Save My Soul".
