On September 27, 2024, New Orleans supergroup Down – vocalist Phil Anselmo, drummer Jimmy Bower, guitarists Pepper Keenan and Kirk Windstein, and bassist Pat Bruders – came to Inn Of The Mountain Gods in Mescalero, New Mexico. This was a rescheduled show that had been postponed due to the salt fires that affected the Mescalero Apaches and their land.
Down helped raise money for the Mescalero Apaches during the fires by doing two pop-up shows in Louisiana. Then they came to Mescalero and performed the rescheduled show.
