Just got back from Donington and it fucking kicked arse!!!!!!!! Anthrax were soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!!!!!!!!!!! During Indians, Joey was screaming for two huge mosh-pits on either side of the crowd and by god he got them!!!! We were just behind the pit on the left side and the dust that was kicked up was insane!! The reception they got was awesome!!! They were by far one of the best bands on the bill!!

Download was great, Anthrax were brilliant and were unsuprisingly the best band on the Saturday for me, Sabbath were great too and definately put on a better show than I expected them to, Ozzy was looking really well. The following day Slayer played the set that made my weekend, they were a league above every other band on the bill, mainly down to Dave Lombardo, it was just a shame that they were on during the day before Slipknot and System of a down. Motorhead finished things off in style and played one of the best shows of the weekend. I know I'm probably just getting old but none of the newer bands did anything for me at all. Despite being a Deftones fan Team sleep were easily the worst band I saw.

sorry folks but i was at download and thought and have to say that belladonnas vocals were shite-he looked old and jaded.not the standard you would expect.the rest of the band were on top form and scottys growling into the mic raised a smile but i have to say in all honesty unless Bush returns to the band their gonna do themselves more harm than good.On a different note Sabbath were amazing geezers base sound was superb and ozzy was on top form.Megadeth stole the show on friday looking cool as cucumbers and strolled through their set-drums neraly cut you in half!!!.Slayer were just superb dave lombardo is the man.first time seeing slipnot-highly entertaining and well put together and sould have maybe had a headline slot.soad are good at what they do its just not my cup of tea.and on a final thread-if i hear one more fuckin jet goin over my head i'll go over the edge -jesus christ i know people go on holiday but for fucks sake .now im goin to sleep til next year
