I know this is probably kind of a noob question and has probably been discussed many times on this forum, but can someone do me a rly big favor and post the links to instructions on how to properly quantize drums using BD and EA? I'm shuffling through these thousands of posts and I am having trouble deciding which method to use....I don't wanna start something and then have it ruin my project....

Thank you ten times in advance

how to EA drums:

1. group drums
2. move transients
3. sample replace all drums since they are now phasey
4. have snippets of each cymbal on hand so you can replace those too if they stretch too far

I was talking with Jamie King (engineered BTBAM, THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD, GLASS CASKET to name a few) once and he said that beat detective is still the way to go or by hand because elastic time fucks with the quality.

I actually did an album where he quantized the first 8 songs and then I did the 2nd two. He did it with beat detec and I did it with Elastic time.....His sounded higher quality. Elastic time really messes with the cymbals, so even when you trigger your cymbals still sound like shit. So BD or by hand is the way to go.
