Drum Softwares?

you'll probably get best results by midi-sequencing the drums... software like fruity loops is good for "4 on the floor" dance music, but if you want to get intricate with the parts, hand-constructed midi is the way to go. also, you should make sure that the sequencer allows you to change time signatures and tempos freely withing the song.

as for the virtual drum machine itself, i use steinberg's LM4, and it's pretty killer.

try sequbeat http://www.neztech.com/products.htm, you can put your own drum sounds in it, pretty easy to orginize beats saves songs and you can put your patterns together and export it all as a wave file good program.............. if you like it and want to use it privite message me i got lots of good drum sounds :headbang:

i've been using a midi program called Muzical Wizard, real easy to use. you can assign sound fonts, write actual drum parts (not just looping) and what not. only problem is it only works on window 98SE... Now if you're just looking at taking and improving existing midi files or drums, I just use cakewalk, edit out the instruments but leave the drums in, change the soundfont and record it as a wave, and you have a much better sounding drummer that won't sleep with your sister! here are some example of what i've done; http://www.toobookoo.com/BostonBBS/soar/sounds.htm#RockmanXPR
Yeah yeah, i'm not pro but it's fun!
