Drum tracks live?

Does anyone use a drum machine or drum tracks live? Right now I play my drum tracks via my iPod through my PA system and then sing and play guitar. I want to do this (as a one man band) live for shows a clubs but want to know what would be the best thing to play my drums track through at a club? Anyone do this and if so any suggestions?

Would I want a Speaker cable or Instument cable going from the iPod to the PA?

you would most likely want a regular audio cable going from ipod to mixer

regular audio cable send from mixer to power amp

speaker cable from power amp to speakers

the speaker cables are only used in situations where a wire is connecting a source of sound power to a speaker

and ipod is not a source of sound power, because it just outputs line audio, meaning, it doesnt have a power amp of any sort, amplifying the sound
