Is it just me or is drumming like that just not impressive? I'd much rather see a drummer changing things up a bit and actually having some feel and presence.

Someone like Danny Carey, Gavin Harrison, or Josh Freese impresses me 100x more than 99% of death/blackmetal drummers.

I REALLY like George Kollias, Derek Roddy, Hellhammer, and Inferno...of death metal/black metal drummers, those guys seem to be versatile enough to not bore me with their super-technicality...and unlike the guy in this youtube video, all those guys are hard-hitters, which is a must for me

Man, they just keep getting younger. I remember when I first started playing guitar at 17, it was hard enough to find a person who played drums, AND, who also could hold a beat or even play in a heavy style...or even knew what a blast beat was. Oh how the times have changed.

Dude's drumming is really boring. I think Henry Ranta's style is way more appealing than someone like this guy. But he's fast and he's playing death metal so I guess he's doing great for what he wants.
