Hopefully I can get this embedded right haha.

Just working on some pre-production for our next album and wondering what you think of the drum sound.

I won't go into specifics yet on what EQ/Comp I'm using. The only sample is the kick as of right now.

Any suggestions? I think the kick might be a little high, but I'm having a hard time taming the snare (Pork Pie)

Ur snare needs some more balls. Maybe blend it with another sample. preferebly a steven slate one.

Yeah, I'm trying to get a good sample that matches the Pork Pie, it has such a strange quality to it that I'm having issues matching it up.

Damn picky drummers! :p

where are the OH's and Room sound? this clip sounds MONO... I'd never know it was stereo aside from the Toms...

EDIT: I like the SNR sound!! =D

Thanks guys! I finally got some guitar work done, I'm usually an amp sim guy (TSE X30 and X50 FTW), but I miced my 6505+ a few nights ago and this is what I got. Still really rough around the edges, bass is DI through the TSE BOD (god I love that thing). Let me know what you think, it still needs some "glue" I feel. I turned the OH's up a bit on this one, I always have a hard time on levels for them. This is all close miced, just snare top with a sm57 on the Pork Pie. That snare is a beast. I'm not used to taming that piccolo snare sound.
