French webmagazine Hard Force's "Metal XS" recently conducted an interview with Duff McKagan (GUNS N' ROSES, VELVET REVOLVER, LOADED, WALKING PAPERS). You can now watch the chat below. Leading the charge of rock music since the '80s, McKagan continues to be a potent and venerable noisemaker in the industry. A multi-faceted artist today, when McKagan isn't shredding on the stage, he effortlessly morphs into a journalist (SeattleWeekly.com, Playboy.com, ESPN.com), an actor ("Dead Pool", "Sliders"), or a producer (biographical documentary "It's So Easy (And Other Lies)"). Outside of the arts, he founded Meridian Rock, a wealth management firm aimed at musicians to help educate them about their finances. His versatility and his impact are the epitome of what it means to be an artist today. Asked in a 2012 interview if he feels the book on GUNS N' ROSES has been closed with the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction, McKagan said: "You can never close the fuckin' book on GUNS N' ROSES. We all try to get cute in interviews and stuff, and there's so much media out there. I mean, you and I will do this interview and you'll write it and it will be out there in an instant. And I can say something that I didn't mean to say in a certain way and it'll come out as the headline: 'Duff says he shit his pants today!' 'No, I was shitting my pants in that I was nervous, I didn't say I shit my pants!' But you know what I mean. So, I know you can never really close the book on a band like that. It meant so much to so many people, and there are so many means of media out there that you can't close [the book]."
