Dumb therion question

OK I've been pronouncing therion like this: " THER - I (the vowel ) - ON" and me being my arrogant self assumed its correct.

BUT in therion's (however you pronounce it ) live album the crowd yells "TER-E(vowel again)-ON)

so being a bit confused and very bored let me to ask you fellow metalheads...

How is it properly pronounced.

I always thought it was like "theory-on", cos that's how the guy at Ace's records said it (Ace's Records was an actual music store that catered to nothing but all forms of metal in Tampa).

yes.. the correct is THER-E-ON , i think means "Monster" in Greek or some greek dialect... i remember. the legendary Celtic Frost album "To Mega Therion" means "The Big Monster"
