Dungeons and Dragons

Does anyone here still play this?
For those who don't know, it's an old paper-based rpg.
I still play ADnD (version 1.5) with my friends.

We are using 4.0 now. I have yet to play with a badass DM. But its fun so far.

I play. We play a mix of 2 and 3, although we'll be adopting some rules from 4. We basically play in the way that makes the most sense. Except our DM just went to fucking Arizona for 2 weeks without telling anyone (hard to believe, since we hang out all the time even when we're not playing).

I play a half-orc barbarian, btw.

I played once. Went with a friend over to play with some of his friends in the early 80's when I was in Jr High or maybe early high school. It was a lot of fun.

Never played it. But I used to play Warhammer 40,000. Not really the same though.

EDIT: I have actually never played Warhammer 40,000, but I used to paint them. :/

I played years ago. Was pretty cool with a good DM. I used to paint the little pewter minniatures to match my characters too.

any of you guys played the Starwars D20?

My buddy owned a game store and they played this a lot and everyone seemed to love it.


I played a bit of Dnd, with a rather inexperienced DM unfortunately.

A RPG that I really enjoyed playing however was Vampire:The Requiem. Our Dm was really great and was brilliant at making really spooky scenes actually seem scary. We had a great cast of characters too. Good times. I really wish I had more time to game.

Starwars is fun as hell
D&D is 2,000,000X better with a decent dm

I really want to play a game of FATAL someday. But actually it seems like it'd be more fun just joking about playing FATAL than actually playing FATAL.
But still, any game where you roll for anal circumference is the game for me.

DnD lost its magic after 2nd edition, Gary Gygax ideas are still used in several video games, the guy was a true wizard.
