anyone still play D&D avidly out there?? Five friends and I have started a new game... we're hoping it will last about two years... we're all taking turns being the dungeon masters.. playing 4-8 hours a week... I'm a creative writing major... so i plan to keep a journal and write it into a book or series when all is over, etc... it's RIDICULOUS FUN!!!!! WOW!!!

haha.. funny how events change... i used to be the one who had the life... and it's weird... because all these friends who are playing are all suprisingly active in everything... but they love D&D as do I... I feel like a still have a life... it's just dwindling

hey guys, i've roleplayed non stop since about 1986...starting with D&D and am now playing 3rd Edit. D&D. In fact we finished a module last night and are now comfortably at 3rd level lol. Ahhh to have new characters again and running blindly into a pack of bugbears without a care in the world.....till our 2 meat shields get slaughtered and the 2 mages in the party clean it up for them
The new modules are great and very combat intensive. The new D20 system rocks and is quite fast for melee. I've just come off about 2-3yrs of heavy earthdawn playing and I'm hooked back on D&D after only 2adventures.
Rock on guys. Roleplay is for geeks and their metal.

My DM is insane, and my fellow players are even crazier.
I won't get into details, but one time my brother did something EXTREMELY stupid and got the party into a fight with 30 blue dragons.
...I guess I don't have to tell you that the adventure ended there.

We play the 3rd edition as well... my friend Tom made the world... it's a GREAT world... there's a lake about the size of lake michigan and we went on a boat journey today... and a fucking ghost ship rammed us... it took us like 2 hours to bring those undead fucks down!!!! GRRR!!! then we had a trader cleric on board from an evil rogue nation!! GRR!! LONG LIVE D&D!!

One time, I had my 5th lvl fighter sell his soul to a demon god and became an anti-paladin in control of his conquring armies. I wound up having to fight my adventuring party. That whole scenario ruled.

i critical hit a paladin that had become the thrall of an outcast druid and killed him with 2 blows.....blood, gore, maiming and sex with little elves yeah.....
