jk, this is my first attempt at electronica... I wouldn't presume to make such a ridiculous statement. :D I think the abrupt shift at the end of the song is kinda proggy, but maybe it's just me. :loco:

Well, I don't know much about what people think of electronic stuff around here.. But I love it - There is way too much focus on the crap in the mainstream, which tend to give people pretty twisted ideas about what it really is. It's like any other scene - it has a mainstream scene, and an underground scene - it's only natural that people don't like the mainstream scene, but the fact that they actually believe that the scene is everything makes me angry. It would be like judging the entire metal scene after listening to Limp Bizkit.. Christ.

People need to wake up just a tiny bit.

Yeah, I agree completely. Not too long ago I was opposed to electronica for no real reason, I was just like, "electronic sux man blah blah blah metal 4 lyfe death 2 techno", but then I actually started listening to obscure electronica artists, and it really grew on me. I've found electronica remixes of video game songs, electronica mixed with classical, world music, etc... really great stuff. Not all electronica is mindless droning clubby-type songs.

Very true.

I started liking Depeche Mode a long time ago, but for some reason I couldn't accept just about any other electronic stuff.. Well, I started actually listening to it - started with ambient and goa, I believe.. And then began exploring noise and EBM, industrial and such - The Crüxshadows, Razed in Black, In Strict Confidence and such - I have a weird thing for experimental noise, too, like Empusae and Cdatakill.. Pretty neat stuff, once you put your mind into it - as you have to do with every other kind of non-mainstream music.
