Artist: Dusk Machine
Title: The Final Fall
Release Date: 2005
Label: Twilight-Vertrieb
Killer!, the first word that comes to upon after listening to this album. Dusk Machine formerly known as Deception feature veteran metal drummer Randy Black (Primal Fear, ex- Annihilator). Overall the direction of the music is straight forward heavy metal with thrash and power metal influences throughout. Annihilator can be heard throughout the disc (think Carnival Diablos, Criteria For A Black Widow). Tight musicianship brings out great results on the debut release and sets up for a promising future. The Final Fall is a concept album whose story was constructed by singer Hagen Hirschmann. In the style of works by E.T.A. Hoffmann (a German writer in 19th century), an emotional concept story, which depicts the life of the main character from birth to death, was created. The album is brought to life by the ambitious band via atmospheric and pounding compositions. Keep an eye out for Dusk Machine as they plan to play live gigs to promote their debut album.
