Fates Warning, Heir Apparent & classic Genesis... Those are just a few of the influences I detect in the outstanding 'old school' German metal band, Existence. Their sound is anything but ordinary, comprised of an epic, mystical and progressive approach. Existence - 'Reign In Violence'(1989), must be on somebody's forgotten favorites list though I've never heard them mentioned before. I recently purchased 'Reign In Violence II (2005)' which is a 'Best Of' compilation though they've only had 2 full length albums since 1989. Very highly recommended for fans of old school obscurity.
