Earthquake and tsunami hits Japan

Earlier tonight an 8.9 earthquake struck off the coast of Japan's central island, causing a 10 metre high wall of water to strike along the coast.
That's a quake 160 times more power that the one which struck Christchurch.

Was reading this morning that for the first time ever, ABC Digital News 24 was the most watching channel on tv. Not surprising given that they seemed to be the only station willing / able to show it live

ABC24 is fucking good, the only problem is when they perceive a slow news day, they just repeat the same shit for a day or two, surely there is enough going on in the world to constantly be reporting and updating news stories.

But back to stories at hand, yes shit in Japan is fucked, looks like 2011 might be Mother Nature's year to kick back after we have spent a couple of years kicking the old girl hard. No fucking tax will help fix this shit though
