EARTHSHAKER!

Haha, got 3 or 4 80's albums of them and they sound pretty different than this :)
So, Earthshaker still exists ?? 44 Magnum was pretty good to, for what I heard any way (I have their album Street Rock'n'Roller). My fav Jap bands remain early Loudness and Vow Wow ("Beat of Metal Motion" is my favorit Jap record !).

I'm more of a Loudness guy, but I do own the s/t Earthshaker album. Cool stuff, and the guitarist is a monster player.

QUESTION though. I asked this on the Maiden board a while back and got no answer. Why does Adrian Smith have the only writing credit on the song Dark Angel (Animals), and how the hell did he hook up with them?

I only have two Japanese bands Church Of Misery and Metalucifer, my memories of Loudness are not very fond. I may have to re-check the band. So much metal so little time (and money).

have you heard of Earthshaker, one of the most popular 80's rock bands in Japan, along with Loudness or 44 Magnum?

what he is emotionally singing here is just noodle's name! :tickled:

Hah! Funny commercial! I remember Earthshaker, might even have a couple records laying around by them.....I was HUGE into Loudness, even before Thunder In The East, I think Law of Devil's Land, or Devil Soldier was the first LP I heard by them, and was completely blown away. I saw their debut Chicago performance for Thunder, and even have an ok version of it on tape, which I really need to torrent one of these days. I remember finding a RENTAL copy of Live Loud Alive way back then too!
Killer band!

Heh, I was just a Loudness freak from my first listen. :headbang:
I don't think I ever heard a "bad" Japanese metal band in that time frame. Kinda funny, since Loudness has all but totally lost me since the mid 90's.
Still have to give them a ton of credit, they have been together still doing the "rock/metal" think for a long time!

Enjoy your vacation!
I'm just getting over being horribly sick for the last week, first time this winter season. One of these days I'll have to quit jinxing myself! :ill:

They even made them eat the noodles behind the scenes too! :)

Thanks Junnie!

I also like Concerto Moon a lot. Another guitarist that just wails. They're more of a cross between Rainbow/Yngwie/Symphony X though...

I saw Loudness last night. Unbelievable. Pretty much solidified the fact that Akira is my favorite guitarist.

Actually walked by Akira on 48th St. in NYC a few hours beforehand...which was a major thrill...even if my friends and I were too god damn awestruck to get a fucking picture with him.

Once I figure out how to get some pictures up here, I will. I got some CRAZY ones from inside the show!!!
