Anyone tried them? Good? Bad? I've read a bit of hype in thier ads...wondering if they are for real or not...

ive heard that their preamps are really clear sounding, im curious to try them.

i like their mics alot. just used an earthworks tc30 as sort of a boudary room mic on some drums for a project that i'm sure you all will be hearing about soon enough hopefully. i was skeptical about using a single omni because of imaging but we really were able to get some cool subtle bottom end from it and saved the bigger room mic sound for the for royer stereo ribbon. i've used the cardioids too and they are great. very clean unhyped and sweet sounding mics if you ask me.

I was looking into earthworks 101 mic pre the other day on other forums.
Everyone says they're awesome. They say it's very clean and stacks up well.
Most responses probably came from people who aren't into metal though some mentioned hard rock.

I'm quite interested in trying out a pair of stereo omnis for overheads....
