bought an e bow today, no words for it

for you who owns it, could you say some cool songs to use it?
(i won't say tips  )

Hello Everyone!
I own an E-Bow and it's easily my favorite creative tool.
I like to use it tracked a few times over making different harmonies, etc.

One trick i used that ended up sounding pretty cool was i tracked one take in standard mode on the E-Bow, than the same line again with the "harmonic" mode. I also rolled the tone off on the guitar.

Just experiment with different effects on your guitar, and soon enough you'll come across something you really like.

Have a great day.

thank u very much

im just gettin' the cello sound into it... OH!

lol in the bow package its listed opeth - blackwater park among others

hey cool, i got mine yesterday:D
2 months shipment!!!! damn, the ebow dudes took their time sending it to sweden

Those things rock, how much did you guys pay for it? I will buy one later this year I think if I start recording my own songs. Around here they cost about €90 (~$115). I'm just asking in case you guys ordered it online for a good price or whatever. Haven't done much research myself yet.

so far ive mainly used mine for a sort of flute tone (semi hard to achieve to keep it stable and consistant to not reveal it being a flute imposter)...

as well as using it for many different types of space rock sounds. use it in conjunction with your effects pedals. i recommend sitting on the floor, with the guitar in your lap, so you can constantly tweak the pedal settings at the same time.

I've been using mine to get a cello or violin type sound. It's a really fun tool to work with and you just have to keep experimenting. That's probably the best advice I can give you. I'm still learning it myself and I got it quite a few months back.

i payed relatively cheap... im from brasil, used mercadolivre.com.br sort of brazilian e-bay...

no fee, kinda 90 USD
just ansious to smoke some hash and go away with it =P

I was looking at E-bows one day... Couldn't afford it at the time. I'm thinking of making my own. Anyone have some cool ideas that I could use to make it dfferent? Like being able to play several strings at once, except some idea that's actually cool?

It's been around since Still Life. A few examples are Godhead's Lament, The Leper Affinity, Bleak, Blackwater Park, Closure, etc.

I didn't know they used it in Closure - I thought that was just a bunch of layered guitar parts, each a note apart (or so Mike said on the Lamentations docu)...
