Rimbaud:
As a youth, Rimbaud wrote some of the most brilliant French-language poetry ever produced. He was wild and transgressive and avant-garde and synaesthetic.

Once he became a young man, however, he abandoned poetry, moved to Africa, and became a businessman. Never wrote again. Never looked back. Never regretted abandoning poetry and art. Didn't seem to care.
