since the fact the story was printed in the British paper The Sun, you can take it all with a grain of salt.

there is no way in the Seven Hells that Nolan would ever put together a bullshit film like the one that they described in that article.

and if Eddie did get cast, it would be all over E! and Entertainment Tonight and all that bullshit.

Think the WB and Nolan will keep very very tight lipped about this film and we won't know anything until it's about done.
