what is the best einherjer album to check out? i was looking at MA but i never really trust the reviews.

It was pretty stupid. I tried to do it with an "e," but the name was already taken. I then realized that I could put a number at the end, or I could spell it differently. For some reason I did both.

It kind of sucks, because the jerk who used their name first never posts here.

there's a black metal band called einherjar but they only have 1 demo so i knew that couldn't be you. are all four albums worth checking out? what bands are similar?

Einherjar and Einherjer are both valid names for the slain warriors the Valkyries took to Valhalla to fight in the grand war in Norse mythology imho.

I believe you're right sir, just slightly different spelling, like Odin/Oden

I think Einherjer have a pretty distinct sound in the genre of viking metal. I haven't heard the album Norwegian Native Art, and I've only heard some of Odin Owns Ye All; but I've read positive reviews of them. Blot is definitely worth buying, and I would say that Dragons of the North is worth it too.

Einherjar, just do what I did. Go to the name change forum and post a request thread for the name Einherjer, and link the profile of the guy who has the name. Mention that he never posts and hasn't visited for years, and you should get the name you want.

I did it to get both of the names that I've used on this site.
