Finally! Finally got off my lazy ass and registered. I used to be a regular on the Nevermore site and lost interest after they finished up touring for Dead Heart. After I saw that they're using Kelly Gray for the new CD I had to bitch.
He's terrible! He's a terrible guitar player who had NO business being in Queensryche. He couldn't play a solo to save his life. I've seen them 3 times with Kelly. Michael Wilton would play all his parts perfect and then Kelly would butcher all of Chris DeGarmos parts! Bad choice. He produced fucking Candlebox, and Dokken's and Queensryches worst albums. They should have gotten Roy Z. or went back to Neil Kernon. What about Michael Wagener? He would have been a good fit. Bad choice! I hope the new material is good.

Welcome to UM, metalgod..and I agree! WTF Nevermore is doing with Kelly Gray is beyond me..that guy needs to just give it up and go hide under a rock somewhere. I hope he doesn't ruin Nevermore.. :/

Thats what they do. They fuck around with covers. Have you heard their cover of Love Bites from Priest? I hated it at first but I love it now. They also cover Bauhaus on the In Memory EP. I don't know what the originals sound like but their versions are great!

And Lady. I noticed you're from the Bay Area. What do you think of the MIGHTY Death Angel reuniting? I hope they come to the Boston area soon. I saw they were playing with Testament and Halford in L.A. soon. I wish I could go.

I'm 34 years old. Of course I know the original! I'm not saying I don't like it, (the lyrics are great) I just like what Nevermore did with it. It's like they made it their own. It doesn't resemble the original at all other than the lyrics and the little intro riff.

When I first heard Dead Heart, TSOS wasn't one of my favs, but it grew on me. I think it's one of the better songs. What do you think of Engines Of Hate. Thats probably my favorite song on that disc.

Ahh Death Angel's not my thing, metalgod, but I have some friends who were pretty happy that they got back together..they played in San Francisco on New Year's Eve, as a matter of fact.

Have you heard Act Lady III ? If not, give it a twirl. It's such a good CD. Great lyrics and really cool arrangements. Not just a thrash album like their previous two.
