i have been working with emi for a while now and it looks like it's for real!

if warner buys them and/or their catalogue, i will more than likely be working for warner/chapel soon enough. which is bitter-sweet.

Totally random but related in a way since I was on the Warner Chappell Music website yesterday and it was a bit annoying to have to create a login just to do a search. All I wanted was to see if they had any Einojuhani Rautavaara pieces available.

Also, if you do end up working for them, do you get any sweet discounts?

yeah... distribution-label websites (in general) do not demand a user experience. it seems like they are just there to reassure the viewer/listener that they do indeed, exist. ;=\

i have always got some pretty awesome perks with emi... (release parties, movie premier tickets... free music etc etc.) but warner may or may not have completely different policies. although last week they (warner) sent me two tickets to CONAN... which i will be attending for next friday's show! (winner!)

Badass on the Conan tickets! I wish I had a job with perks like that hahah.

yeah... i am excited to see him!

an old friend (i was in college with) is a stage manager for the conan show and i can't wait to see him! it's been like 3 years.

also, really excited to see conan, live!
