I went outside to go check my mail and on a small staircase directly in front of me that leads out to the parking lot rested a nearly decapitated squirrel. I stared at it for a moment in disbelief. I mean..who the hell would do this to an innocent little squirrel? And past that, who would just leave it on a staircase like that? It's just sad. 
Anyway, I'm not sure what to do about it. The apartment management people were as lost as I was, but they at least just told me to push it off the stairs with a paper plate and throw the plate away in the dumpster.
So..what is there to do in a situation like this? What are my options?
