Who is Engine of Aries?

John Sullivan- Guitar, Bass, Programmer and Producer

Where's the band from?
Orlando,Florida

Who're your major influences?
Dream Theater, Periphery, Pantera, Symphony X, Tesseract, Death, Devon Townsend

What's your local scene like?
Local Metal Scene is scattered and broken. Only the big bands seem to ever gather a good amount of people. But with proper advertising and a well placed show all this could change.

How can people hear your music?

I post all my ideas at www.soundclick.com/engineofaries

If you could play a gig with 3 other bands, who would it be?

Metallica, Devon Townsend, Symphony x

What's your best gig memory?

When Me and My Band won first place at the county fair. haha. Such a big trophy and some free studio time to a studio that didn't exist... haha.

What's your worst?

Getting jumped by some duchy Daytona hard core bands Fans. They singer stopped and told his fans to "fuck these kids up" haha... I learned you dont mosh at a hardcore show. haha.

Would you describe your sound as Hot or Cold?

Very Hot, that sometimes submerges into an icy bath for an intense stimulation.

What are you plans for the future?

Polish up my E.P. then start playing shows to attract attention.

What song of yours should people listen to before any other?

There all so different cause Im still searching for what I'd call my main sound But each time a make a song I throw in something different. So i guess i'd say don't just listen to one. because I range from easy listening to progressive acoustic death metal. You just have to find the song that fits you. You know It's not very artistic to just make angry song or just make happy ones. I believe there should be a balance that captures how you actually feel day to day.

If a label said they'd sign you for a 10 album, mulit-million £ deal, providing you got rid of one of your members (you can choose!), would you do it?

well considering I'm The only member I'd say no. But if they had good reasoning I may consider. Like if the guy/girl was a druggy then yea kick em' out. But if the player was still on my level I'd have to stick with em' because finding the people that can make the right chemistry is hard and you don't want to give that up just for some deal and some money. But I wouldn't be stupid and just let an opportunity like that slip through my fingers.

What's your favourite album of all time, and why?

I like Ted Nugent , That c.d. with strangle hold is the theme track for my early childhood.

What was the main reason you became a musician?

I had to find something that I could always bring with me. Cause your parents can die and your girl could leave your ass but as long as I have my guitar I know I'm okay. They one thing that will never leave me is my trusty git-fiddle

How would you like to be remembered?

John Sullivan- Great Guy, Totally Hard Working Innovative Master Mind.

What's the first word that comes to mind when you see the word MANOWAR!

Worlds loudest and most homoerotic band.haha.

What one location in the world would you love to play a gig at?

Boston, Berklee performance center, or the House of Blues
