Eric Brittingham says that he "would love to go out and do another CINDERELLA tour" provided that Jeff LaBar can get well enough to return to the road. LaBar recently accepted blame for the group's prolonged period of inactivity, explaining that his "drinking problem" caused a rift between him and his bandmates. During a late November appearance on the Jacky BamBam show on the 93.3 WMMR radio station, Eric — who has spent the last several months playing bass for Bret Michaels's solo band — stated about Jeff (hear audio below): "I haven't really talked to him. His son's band, MACH22, Sebastian LaBar's band, is gonna be opening for Bret Michaels on November 25], which is really cool. I haven't seen Bas in about a year, so I'm looking forward to that." He continued: "As far as Jeff, that's his call. If he wants to get back on board, he knows what he needs to do. He's a big boy. So never say never. I mean, I would love to do it. I know Tom [Keifer, guitar/vocals] and… We would love to go out and do another CINDERELLA tour. But, you know, we have to do it right." Although CINDERELLA hasn't released a new studio album since 1994's "Still Climbing", the band started playing sporadic shows again in 2010 but has been largely inactive for the last few years while Keifer focuses on his solo career. In a September 2016 interview with "Another FN Podcast With Izzy Presley", LaBar opened up for the first time about CINDERELLA's decision to stop touring, saying that he understands why Tom doesn't return his calls and admitting that he is "pretty much done playing music." He said: "I can only speculate, but I believe it's all my fault. It's no secret that I've had a drinking problem. And it showed its ugly face on one of those [cruises that CINDERELLA played]. I guess that's what caused a rift… When I fell out on one of those cruise ships in front of everybody — like, basically O.D.'d — that's when the band, and mostly Tom, took notice and was, like, 'What the fuck?'" Asked if he is sober now, LaBar said: "No, I'm not. Which is the problem. Which is probably the problem. Like I said, I can only speculate, because I don't talk to the other guys anymore. I talk to Fred [Coury drums] every now and then. Eric lives twenty minutes from me. We haven't talked lately, but Eric and I have been the most consistent of all my bandmates throughout the past thirty-two years. It's just Tom and I that don't talk anymore. And I can only speculate that he's very disappointed and doesn't wanna see me die. He doesn't wanna witness me dying." Interview (audio):
