I know that they are very old, but I have been listening to A Velvet Creation the last few days and although the production sounds like crap, it has to be one of my favourite cds. What's up with that snare drum though?? It sounds like a cardboard box stuffed full of paper.

Anyway, it is a shame that they called it quits after only two cds.

I used to have a dub tape copy of one of their albums. All my tapes were stolen about 8 years ago, so i can't recall the name. i really liked it, though. Reminded me of ATG. I think mirrorworld was a song on it. Great tune. I think that was on the WAR Records comp (also stolen) too.

I haven't actually heard "The Velvet Creation", but I have listened to "MirrorWorlds" which is an outstanding album, I'd recommend it to anyone, great music.

Edit: Oh, woe is me. Their site hosts some mp3s from "The Velvet Creation". Listening to it now, it sounds quite good so far, I agree that the production is not golden tooth quality...

Another Edit: I'd say that the poor production on "The Velvet Creation" adds to the whole atmosphere! I think it suits the album nicely, and actually the vocals sound much more inspired in "The Velvet Creation" than in "MirrorWorlds", somehow.
