Evergrey in Iceland

yup they're playing 2 gigs at the same club the 9th and 10th of this month

don´t know how they will be received and I think one gig would be enough
nivce to have some progressive melodic metal here

Thorsteinn has imported Pain of Salvation( who unfortunately couldn´t play) and Mastodon( USA) he's really giving metal a big kick in the arse here!

don't get the numbers too serious, it was more as a figure of speak, note the at the end of the line, hehehe. Of course they sold more CD's, but it's just too hard to understand for fans in other countries that they play two gigs in a country where they probably sold much less CD's as they sold in other countries they've never played and they probably will not play in the near future.

2 gigs are too much in my opinion, just throw all 4 warm-up bands in one night and let them play 30 minutes max. ; better atmosphere, more pepoool

Evergrey were on the second biggest TV station( played I´m sorry) here just before the main news and today they are in 2 of the most widespread newspapers!

I was right in front of Henrik during the PP gig when he suddenly ran from left to the right on stage to replug Henrik's guitar since his plug went out. I was so close and didn't even had seen it was out but he did, all from the other end of the stage. Yeah he is good.

Biffen is their guitartech or what it's called.
He tunes the guitars and take cares of problem on the stage with the gear.

I just received some news from Michael.
They took some pics of the band in front of a geyser.
Then it started to push out water so they had to run to safety.
Then five minutes later when Mike was watching them running on the videocamera it had one more outburst and he didn't have the time to move, so he got soaked.

I'm gonna see them tonight. Nothing wrong with having 2 shows - one is all ages and the second one is for the old guys like me
The same thing was done with Mastodon when they played here and it worked great - played in front of a full house both nights! And they loved it here!

Saw them last night. 'Twas quite lovely.

My only regret is that i didn´t hurl some swedish profanities at them, in my horribly bad swedish, as i walked passed them towards the entrance. It´s not that i would like to insult them or anything, i just find it immensely amusing to babble some profanities in languages i can´t really speak much in And people usually just laught at it anyway :Spin:

the second show sucked! = in attendence there were 3-4 times as many the first night... one gig was sufficient after all

they played brilliantly and a lon set in spite of very few people!!

cant thank Thorsteinn enough and I hope he recovers from financial loss
luckily ( I hope)there are a few guys willing to support him a bit
