Evergrey's Label

I think it's time for Evergrey to change label.
I have nothing against InsideOut!
But E think Evergrey needs a bigger label.
What do you guys think?

No, I much rather have them on a label like InsideOut that lets them do what they want and don't mess around with the recordings than some bigger company.

Inside Out has been incredibly supportive to the band and they have becoming the leading label for progressive rock and metal...Evergrey should stay with them for the time being...

All Evergrey needs is a label that will invest enough money into them so that they can get on some decent sized tours as an opener, so that their message can be spread. After that, you are just talking about a major label (Warner Bros, Epic, Sony, Elektra, etc.) and to be honest, I don't see that working for Evergrey. They aren't going to write many 4 minutes and under radio songs, so that option is eliminated, and I don't see them working on an Ozzfest, so there goes that one, too.

I just want them to be sucessfull enough to tour consistently and put out great albums. So far, so good!!

Agreed. IO is really pushing the new Evergrey. I was walking around Pittsburgh (IOMA's HQ city) this weekend and saw Evergrey posters plastered in the windows of several independent music stores. And there were copious amounts of Evergrey cds in the stores I checked out. I believe IO is big enough to give Evergrey a significant amount of promotion and distribution, yet is small enough for Evergrey to retain creative freedom.

If the "major" music store in my town stocks the re-issues and Inner Circle (albeit the regular edit) then IO is doing a good job. Also the store had a copy of In Search or Truth and a few of the LTD Recreation Day when they came out but havent been restocked. Still, that's pretty damn good.
