"I Can Do Without Love", the first solo album from Rikard Zander, the keyboard player of the Swedish metal band EVERGREY, has just been released via ZR/Border Music. The CD marks Zander's recording debut as a lead singer. "I Can Do Without Love" contains 10 songs, including two that were previously released as singles, and Rikard was joined in the studio by members of EVERGREY and AVATARIUM. "I'm not going to lie to you, I'm a bit nervous," said Rikard about the realease. "But the response so far from both EVERGREY fans and new fans has been overwhelming." The video for the "I Can Do Without Love" title track can be seen below. It was directed by EVERGREY drummer Jonas Ekdahl. "I Can Do Without Love" is available on both CD and vinyl. According to Rikard, his solo project will not interfere with EVERGREY, whose latest album, "Hymns For The Broken", has been praised by fans and critics worldwide. "EVERGREY is my home, but sometimes you have to take a chance and do something different, and this was too good to keep for myself," Rikard explained.
